About I Love to (I.L.T.) Dance Studio

I Love to (I.L.T.) Dance studio was founded in 2009. At our studio, we offer a variety of dance education programs for our students. Our studio’s foundation is based on hard work, dedication, passion and respect. Students learn strength building, balance, coordination, technique and confidence while having fun in a clean and safe environment. All classes are taught based on the child’s age and ability level. All of our dance programs are designed to meet the needs of every dancer young and old, beginner to advanced. Each class size is limited to ensure the proper teacher-dancer ratio.

Michelle Verissimo

Michelle Verissimo is the Founder and Artistic Director of I.L.T. Dance Studio. With over 25 years of experience, Michelle has dedicated her life to the art of dance and the growth of her students. Throughout her career, she has turned a lifelong passion for dance into a thriving and supportive community at I.L.T. Dance Studio.

Michelle trained with Marc Platt, a renowned ballet dancer, musical theater performer, and actor who was an original member of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and who also directed ballet productions at Radio City Music Hall. She also trained with dancer Jean Goodall, who appeared in the films Carousel, Guys and Dolls, and The Pajama Game. These formative experiences helped shape her strong technical foundation, artistic discipline, and performance-driven approach to teaching.

She is known for a teaching style that is both encouraging and technically grounded, blending authentic classical technique with expressive artistry. Having mentored hundreds of dancers, Michelle focuses on creating a high-caliber environment where experience-driven instruction meets a lifelong passion for the art.

At I.L.T. Dance Studio, her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that dance should be joyful, accessible, and grounded in authentic technique. For Michelle, the greatest reward is seeing a student achieve their personal best, finding confidence on stage and strength through movement. From the first class to the final curtain call, she is committed to the long-term success of every student who walks through her doors.
